Crescent Moon Earrings

These moons are made by fusing 925 sterling silver to the surface of copper sheet. The molten silver follows the heat of the flame, building upon itself to create irreplicable patterns which resemble the the surface of the moon. The piece is then oxidised to darken the copper and lightly polished to highlight the patterns.

Care instructions: 

These earrings come with a pre applied patina. You don’t want to clean them too thoroughly or you may remove the original patina. Think care rather than clean! 

- limit handling with unclean hands

- Remove before showering, swimming or entering steam rooms

- Do not touch with oily hands or hands with sunscreen or makeup on them 

- Put them on last when getting ready so you don’t spray perfume, hairspray etc on them

- Store in a dry place (do not store in the bathroom where it might get steamy/wet)
